Janet Waters has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years. Since moving into consulting 6 years ago her consulting roles have covered business development, market access, market modelling, commercial assignments and business intelligence projects related to specific new NHS customer groups.

Janet started her career in brand management working on project launches, niche products, market leading brands and mature products, both in the UK and internationally, for Glaxo UK and Pfizer UK. She has held senior management positions responsible for leading the reshaping and creation of company capabilities in Business Development and NHS marketing functions.

During Janet’s time at Pfizer she was recognised for her analytical and strategic skills and subsequently represented marketing on the cross – departmental Strategic Working Party, investigating and designing strategies for the corporate plan in areas where system change might be required.

She then helped the company create additional capabilities heading up the newly developing Business Development and NHS Marketing Functions needed to meet the changing challenges in Market Access. A particular focus was to adapt to the market influences of bodies such as NICE and the new structures in the NHS.
