David Townley has extensive experience in strategic business planning and pricing modelling and has worked together with leading management consultants such as McKinsey. Most recently he was responsible for building a team to deliver integrated customer information insights and led the European pricing and market access project supporting the successful launch of Spiriva.
David started his pharmaceutical career 34 years ago at Rhone Poulenc (May and Baker) before moving to Boehringer Ingelheim where he has held a number of national and international positions.
Initially his work within sales and marketing for Boehringer Ingelheim took him to South Africa and then on to Australia as Marketing Director. After five years he was transferred to corporate headquarters in Germany where he was responsible for leading the international marketing team for respiratory products.
David subsequently relocated to Singapore to establish a new regional medico – marketing office for South East Asia, whilst heading the business in Indonesia during which time a production plant was acquired.
